Karikachi Pass

This pass with a great view has been selected as one of Japan's eight new scenic spots.
At an elevation of 644 meters, the observatory commands a panoramic view of the vast Tokachi Plain.
Located on the border between Minami Furano Town and Shintoku Town on National Route 38, the observatory and restroom facilities make it a great place to take a break from driving.
On a clear day, you can even see the city of Obihiro, more than 50 km away.
