Lake Kuttari
A dammed lake on the Tokachi River. Lake Kuttari is symbolized by a cliff called Ganke (cliff), which was once called Kamuiroki (seat of God) in Ainu language. It is known as a power spot among young people. Ganke is reflected in the tranquil surface of the lake, and the beautiful autumn leaves can be enjoyed in the fall. Water leisure activities such as canoeing and SUP, which are embraced by the magnificent lake, are also popular. In addition, the Avant Sauna at the Kuttari Hot Spring Lake Inn has attracted the attention of enthusiasts. There are also farms nearby where visitors can experience harvesting, making this a spot where one can fully enjoy the natural beauty of Shintoku.
