Karikachi Poppo Trail

This walking trail was developed on the site of the former Japan National Railways Karikachi Line, which was abandoned in 1966. Today, visitors can enjoy walking, cycling, and horseback riding, and it is also popular as a "Karikachi Trail Running" course. From the SL Plaza under the Mt.Shintoku Ski Area to the former Niinai Station, a distance of approximately 10 km, visitors can see brick arch bridges, bridge piers, and other romantic railroad legacies.
